Michelle Maruyama, violin

Michelle Maruyama discovered the violin watching Sesame Street as a toddler and has been smitten ever since. She graduated with degrees in Violin Performance and Chamber Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Music has taken her to Central Asia as part of the Carnegie Fellows Program, to Rome with the New World Symphony, and all over the United States and Canada as concertmaster of three national Broadway tours. She is Assistant Principal Second Violin with the Santa Rosa Symphony and a member of the Marin and California Symphonies.
